A Whole Latte Art!

So while I was trying to come up with a new topic for my blog I was thinking about all the other ways in which coffee is actually used besides just for drinking.  I came across Latte Art.  This stuff is really neat.  It's when a barista creates art on the top of your coffee.  I found this really interesting video showing what it actually is and how they do it (p.s. I would have it EVERYWHERE!).

Coffee From Around the World.....

So as I am sure you are aware coffee isn't just consumed here in the United States.  I did some looking around to see how popular American drinks were made in different countries, especially the frappuccino since it's my fave.

Did you know that Starbucks is the only company who can actually use the term "Frappuccino." Yea, I didn't either. Apparently they are the ones who coined the term.  This is why you never really see this word used in any other coffee shops.  They usually use the word "frappe."

Take a peek.....

Greece- Yogurt Frappuccino made with traditional coffee, handcrafted Greek yogurt.  It comes in flavors such as strawberry, banana, and honey.

Japan- Coffee & White Tiramisu frappuccino.  This just sounds delish if you ask me!  It is made with regular frappuccino ingredients, blended with a layer of crumbly bits of cookie and brownie, then topped off with cream cheese mousse, and caramel sauce then dusted with cocoa powder!

Australia- Strawberry Cheesecake Frappuccino.  Well hello heaven in a cup!  I couldn't find the actual ingredients for this one because it was only available in Australia for a short time, however the name alone makes it sound amazing!

Coffee & It's Effects.....Good or Bad?

Caffeine in general gets a bad wrap.  Most doctors suggest staying away from caffeine, however a lot of doctors are saying that coffee especially can actually be good for you.  Attached is an interesting video that I found regarding coffee.  Check it out!

Coffee, The Morning Person's Lifesaver

As most of us know, mornings are and will continue to be a constant battle.  Often we start the debate with whether to sleep in ten minutes more or to work on our appearance.  I think in most cases we choose the extra sleep.  One thing, however is we never forget our morning caffeine.  Most of us have a timed brewer at home or like millions of other people in the world they make the the quick stop into their local Starbucks.  It is said that 54% of people over the age of 18 years old drink coffee daily.  Americans spend $1,092 on coffee per year!  These numbers alone show how important our morning fuel really is.
